Each family is expected to sign up for 2 Concession shifts throughout the season.
Concessions enhance the game day experience for our community, while earning money for our program. We cannot do this without YOU!
VARSITY COACH
Coach Krause has been Rouse Basketball Head Coach since 2008, and an educator and coach since 2005. Before opening Rouse in 2008, he spent 3 years as the assistant coach at Vista Ridge High School. Since Rouse’s first senior class in 2012, Rouse has made the postseason 7 out of 9 years and has won 20 games in 7 of 9 seasons. The on court success our program has had is a direct result of the initial culture and standards set when our program was built focusing on competitiveness and chemistry. The Rouse basketball program has also made community service one of top priorities as we pride ourselves on giving back and helping others.
Coach Krause was born and raised in Racine, Wisconsin, and played for his father, David Krause, at Horlick High School. Coach Krause’s mother Sylvia, was the tennis coach at Horlick High School as well. Coach Krause played basketball at Angelo State University for 4 years before transferring to the University of Wisconsin-Parkside to finish his playing career. Coach Krause has his Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University and served as an Assistant Principal during the spring semester last year.
Coach Krause and his beautiful wife Mandy have been married for 18 years and have 3 wonderful children: Madeline 17, Reese 13, and Mitchell 10. In his spare time, Shane enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, attending his children’s sporting and dance events, and cheering for all Wisconsin sports teams including the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Bucks, Milwaukee Brewers, and the Wisconsin Badgers.

JV COACH
I was born and raised in Weimar Texas, where I played basketball and baseball. I attended Southwest Texas State University, (now known as Texas State). I graduated with a degree in Computer Science. I started my coaching career 19 years ago at Lehman H. S. in Kyle, then moved north to Connally High School in Pflugerville. While there, I was fortunate enough to be part of the 2006 State Semifinalist team. In 2008, I helped Coach Krause start up the basketball program at Rouse. In 2011, I became the head basketball coach at Moody High School in Corpus Christi. I returned to Central Texas and spent two years at Pflugerville Hendrickson before finding my way back home to Rouse.
When I'm not in the gym, I love spending time with my family. I have been married to my beautiful wife, Kristen for thirteen years. We have two boys-Jacob (12) and Jackson (10). They are my support system that allows me to continue doing what I love.
FRESHMEN COACH
Dan Lapaglia is a proud husband to Angelica and father to Bryson. A 2005 graduate of Leander High School, he was a two-time varsity starter at outside linebacker and earned 1st Team All-District honors. One of his favorite memories as a player was helping defeat Dallas Carter his junior year to advance to the quarterfinals. In addition to football, he grew up playing basketball, competing as a point guard and shooting guard through high school.
After graduating, Dan attended UTSA and later began his coaching career at Rouse High School, where he is entering his 13th season, all with the Raiders. Over the years, he has coached fullbacks, running backs, outside linebackers, and now inside linebackers, while also serving as the team’s Defensive Coordinator. This year, he is especially excited to begin coaching basketball for the first time.
My Why:
“I coach to make a positive impact on players’ lives, just as my coaches did for me.”
