2024-2025 Schedule

I grew up in the little town of Robert Lee where participation was nearly mandatory.  I played basketball, golf, ran track, and was a cheerleader.   I was also active in student council and FFA.  I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts in English.  After graduation, I taught and coached for 3 years in Allen, Texas before moving to the Austin area where I coached basketball and softball at Cedar Park High School for 7 years. 

 Proud to be a part of a group of teachers and coaches that opened Rouse in 2005, I'm currently teaching Advanced English I and coaching varsity girls basketball – it’s great to be a RAIDER! This is my 24th year in Leander ISD and my 27th year in the teaching and coaching profession.

I have been married to my husband, Matt, for 22 years. We stay very busy with our two children - our daughter, Ryan, who is a freshman at Texas State University, and our son, Karson, who is a sophomore at Rouse.

Coach George Pina is glad to join the Lady Raider Basketball coaching staff. This year will mark his 16th year in education, 15th year coaching and 5th year coaching basketball. Coach Pina is excited to join the basketball staff as the head coach of the Freshman Lady Raiders.  For the past 5 years, he has coached JV and Freshman Basketball as well as high school varsity volleyball since 2015, club volleyball since 2014 and 5 years as the head coach at the middle school level.  Prior to Rouse, Coach Pina has coached at Cedar Ridge, Connally HS and various middle schools in Round Rock and Austin ISDs. Coach Pina currently is teaching World Geography at Rouse.  He has taught social studies for 3 years and math for 13 years.  

Coach Pina is married to his wife Pat, and they have three beautiful daughters, Vanessa (Texas Tech), Aaris and Ava. Coach Pina has a BA in Political Science with a minor in Mathematics from the University of Texas at Arlington.  He is also an alumni of Pflugerville HS. In his free time, Coach enjoys cooking, spending time with family, going to church and working out.
